Deal Town manager Steve King has sat down for an in-depth interview with Zack, reflecting on the Hoops' start to the season, the club's record-breaking FA Trophy run, squad developments and the exciting young talent coming through the ranks.
The interview, which is now available to watch in full on the club's YouTube channel, covers a wide range of topics as Kingy offers an open and honest assessment of the season so far and looks ahead to a crucial run of fixtures.
Kingy admits that the opening weeks of the league campaign have been frustrating at times, particularly with several draws that he feels could have been victories. However, he points to the team's improving performances and underlying statistics as reasons for optimism, explaining why he believes the Hoops are heading in the right direction.
Kingy also discusses the balance between attack and defence, the number of goals conceded and why being more ruthless in key moments could make all the difference.
With Deal enjoying their best-ever run in the FA Trophy, Kingy reflects on the achievement of reaching the First Round Proper and the dramatic penalty shootout victory at Ashford United.
Supporters can also hear Kingy's thoughts on some of the tactical decisions made this season, including the use of Jacob Strouts in midfield and the importance of having a physical presence in the side.
The manager provides updates on injuries and player fitness, discusses the arrival of goalkeeper Joe Coleman and explains the challenges of recruitment at Step 4.
