Deal Town Football Club are delighted to confirm that both Owen Wilkinson and Zak Hammond have signed contracts ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The pair become the first members of the squad to commit their futures to the club as preparations continue for the upcoming campaign at The Charles Ground.
Zak Hammond and Owen Wilkinson both played important roles throughout last season with the pair racking up over 50 appearances combined in the last campaign. The club is pleased to secure their signatures as work continues behind the scenes to build the squad for the new season.
Manager, Steve King said:
We are really pleased to be able to reward Owen and Zak with contracts at the club.
This is an important sign as both players have progressed through our youth system and shows the pathway for all local youngsters. They both had brilliant seasons last year and we look forward to seeing them both kick on again this season.
We have a flourishing youth system and a number of excellent young players in our U23s and the progress of both Owen and Zak shows that we will always look to push local young players.
Discussions remain ongoing with the rest of the playing staff, with further squad announcements expected over the coming days as the management team continue preparations for 2026/27.
