Deal's next game in the FA Cup (FA) sees them welcome Hilltop to The Charles Ground on 5th August. Kick off is at 7.45 pm.
Welcome back to the Charles Sports Ground for what promises to be an exciting and meaningful evening of football, as we host Hilltop FC in the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round Replay.
An earlier than anticipated start to our home games this season at the Charles Ground following Sunday’s roller coaster ride of emotions, which now helps mark our first competitive home fixture of the 2025/26 season.
The weekend’s dramatic 2–2 draw in Middlesex was a true cup tie in every sense: full of pace, physicality, anction and plenty of attacking intent from both sides. Having made the journey to North-West London, there’s now an additional opportunity to reach the next round.
Today’s replay brings with it all the magic and unpredictability that the FA Cup is known for. There's no second chance beyond this — if the scores are level after 90 minutes, extra time and penalties await. Both clubs will be keen to avoid that drama, so expect a lively and determined start from the first whistle.
Hilltop commenced their competitive season last Tuesday; a 2-0 loss away to Windsor & Eton FC in the Combined Counties Football League. From Saturday’s showing, their pace on the break was evident as well as their confidence in physicality.
Captain Hussein (6) was certainly a presence in the centre of their team, with solid performances from Marshall (4), Kahssay (14) and Jamac (20). They’ll prove stern opposition and will undoubtedly be ready to cause problems for the Hoops.

SEASON TICKETS: Are not permitted for this fixture.
PARKING: Limited parking is available at the ground however please be mindful if not able to park within the ground be considerate around the surrounding roads being respectful to our neighbours.
Please be reminded that the main road into Deal, from Sandwich, remains closed from the junction ajoining Mongeham Road.
TRAIN STATION: The nearest train station is Deal which is approximately a 20 minute walk to the ground.
GROUND ENTRANCE: Entrance to the ground is via St Leonard's Road.
FOOD & DRINK: There are two bars at the ground which will be serving your usual refreshments, as well as our tea-hut. Burger Box Kent will also be on hand to provide the usual catering requirements.
PROGRAMME: A match day programme is available for £3 which is available at the gate (while stocks last) a digital version can also be purchased online via the online club shop.

Hilltop Football Club is a community-driven football club based in northwest London, known not only for our passion for the beautiful game but for our mission to provide opportunity, unity, and positive representation for underrepresented communities.
Founded in 2005, Hilltop FC was established by members of the Somali diaspora in the UK, who sought to create a space where local talent could thrive both on and off the pitch. In 2007, the club joined the Middlesex County League Division Three. In 2010, Hilltop left the league, rejoining in 2014. In 2019, Hilltop won the Middlesex County League Division One, joining the Premier Division in the process.
In 2021, the club was admitted into the Combined Counties League Division One. Hilltop entered the FA Vase for the first time in 2021–22 and the FA Cup in 2022–23.
