The new Deal Town website has been live for 8 weeks and we hope that Hoops fans have seen a noticeable improvement in the content being shared in terms of its accessibility, frequency and quality. While the site matures we offered visitors to the chance to share their feedback on the site which we are pleased to share back.
Thank you for everyone who responded to the survey - and news on the lucky winner is at the bottom of this article.
We have been very pleased to see that the feedback received from visitors has been overwhelmingly positive. The word cloud below shows all the feedback comments that were left on the survey, with the most frequently used words displayed in larger font.
All feedback has been positive and reflect the improvement. Some of the other key outcomes that we found from the survey:
So based on this, new content is being added to the site as frequently as we can, we are endeavouring to keep the site up to date to as much as possible and as soon as possible and the online club shop with online payments is the next big chunky feature coming to the site soon.
We have also seen that the majority of users have been visiting the site via their mobile or tablet (85%). Which was a fundamental reason for redeveloping the website as the previous site was not accessible on mobile phones. The new site has been built in responsive design with mobile first principles, so should work on all devices.
It has also been really pleasing to see how page visits have really grown since the new site has gone live with page views reaching over 30,000 month on month which is a great improvement on the previous site. On the previous site many hits ended on a single page, typically the homepage (users pressumably just checking for updates, there were none, or they could not find their way around and their user journey ended). However on the new site we can see that users are engaging with the site and typically viewing several pages on each visit.
This feedback has really helped us to see where we can improve the site in the future months so we really appreciate the participation we received in the survey. The lucky winner of the 5 pints has been drawn and has been contacted via email this afternoon.
If you have any further comments or you did not have chance to contributute to the survey, please do reach out via the contact form.
COME ON YOU HOOPS
